Vena Resources Acquires Esquilache Polymetallic Regional Project

September 19, 2007

September 19, 2007-- Toronto, Ontario – Vena Resources Inc. (“Vena” or the “Company”) (TSX: VEM, Lima: VEM, Frankfurt: V1R) is pleased to announce that it has acquired exploration rights for 20,700 hectares in the Esquilache, Pichacani and Andamarca areas of Puno.

In colonial days, San Antonio de Esquilache was for a time the richest silver mine in Peru. In the 1950s, Minera Hochschild exploited the upper levels of the old mine, but modern systematic exploration was never carried out. There has not been any drilling or geophysical surveys conducted on the property and the surrounding area has never been geologically explored. Seven separate anomalies within the Esquilache claim package (Huantane, Hanco Cruz, Collpacucho, Morojaque, Amantina, Esquilache and Virgen de Chapi) were identified during recent regional prospecting, geochemical sampling and geological mapping. ARCE Geophysics has been contracted to conduct a 125 line-kilometre geophysical survey over these targets. Drilling will commence at the Esquilache Project as soon as the geophysical survey is completed, permits are obtained from the surrounding communities and corresponding government agencies.

Juan Vegarra, Chairman and CEO of Vena Resources states:

“To find an area with such high exploration potential, but where past exploration activities have been so limited, is most unusual -- Esquilache is a rare exploration opportunity. We currently control over 60,000 hectares in the Puno Department of Peru where we have six ongoing exploration projects -- three regional uranium projects with CAMECO and three polymetallic projects, including Pucara. Supported by our office in Juliaca (Puno), we are currently diamond drilling at Pucará and we plan to drill the uranium targets later this year. Drilling at Esquilache will immediately follow these programs.”

All geochemical samples are analysed by CIMM Peru and MINLAB in Lima. Selected samples are submitted to Laboratorios del Sur, in Arequipa. The exploration program is being supervised by Dr. James W. Stewart P.Geo., Vena’s Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. For further information please visit the Company website at www.venaresources.com or contact:
